A New Chapter for The Pickleball Hub UK
We’re proud to announce that The Pickleball Hub UK is joining the Premier Pickleball League (PPL) Masters Division for the 2026 season — powered by ThrivePB.
This is a milestone moment for us. What started with Head Coach Paul Taylor on the courts at Littleport Aces has grown into one of the UK’s fastest-growing pickleball brands — built around community, coaching, competition, and premium equipment.
Stepping into the PPL Masters Division is the natural next step, and we’re doing it with a team that genuinely represents what the Hub stands for.
Meet the 2026 Masters Team
Six players will wear the Hub colours in the Masters Division this season. Each of them brings something different to the court — and together, they’re the kind of squad we’re proud to back.
- Julie Mac
- Jon Banks
- Verena Rowan
- Neil Beaven
- Ally Pringle
- Matthew Mettam
This isn’t just a roster — it’s a group of players who train hard, compete with heart, and care about growing the sport in the UK. We can’t wait to see them in action.
Powered by ThrivePB
Our Masters campaign is powered by ThrivePB, a partnership we’re genuinely excited about.
ThrivePB shares our commitment to elite-level performance and player development, and having them behind the team gives our players the equipment, support, and platform they deserve as they step onto the national stage.
Building the UK Player Pathway with Surrey Smash
Our PPL journey doesn’t stop with the Masters Division. The Pickleball Hub UK also works closely with Surrey Smash through ongoing headline sponsorship agreements with both their Premier and Challenger teams.
That partnership matters. It creates a real pathway — from grassroots and club play, into Challenger-level competition, into Premier, and now into Masters.
UK pickleball needs that kind of connected ecosystem if we’re going to compete at the highest level, and we’re committed to playing our part in building it.
What This Means for Our Community
For us, the PPL isn’t just about results on the scoreboard. It’s about:
- Raising the bar for UK pickleball — giving British players elite competition to aspire to and learn from
- Showcasing UK talent — putting names like Julie, Jon, Verena, Neil, Ally, and Matthew on the national stage where they belong
- Strengthening the pathway — connecting club players, coaches, and competitors through one shared journey
- Investing in the sport’s future — through coaching programmes, club development, events, and partnerships with the brands shaping the game
The 2026 Season Starts Here
We’re entering 2026 with real momentum — a Masters team to back, a partner in ThrivePB, a deepening relationship with Surrey Smash across Premier and Challenger, and a growing community of players, coaches, and clubs across the UK.
To everyone who has supported the Hub so far — players, coaches, club members, customers — thank you. This next chapter is for you as much as it is for us.
